...so many lives has changed because of Desert Voices Toastmasters Club

"It all started couple of years ago when I was introduced to Toastmasters Club by my friends, ACB/CL Cherry Pye Torres and ACB/CL Jijie Zablan.  After being in the platform with some first-class speakers, I realized I have a long way to go even though I have always enjoyed hosting, teaching and training.  I knew of Toastmasters reputation and was delighted I found a very supportive group who trusted me to lead the club this term (2007-2008). I have come a long way and can honestly and sincerely say I owe it all to Desert Voices."

"Toastmasters sure has changed my life by giving me the opportunity to practice prepared and extemporaneous speaking.  It has helped me in expanding my network of friends from near and far.  Being a Toastmaster has given me the confidence to take on 'self-expression' at any forum at short notice.  Thanks to Toastmasters I am now able to respond to most situations without stress or tension.  In fact, I am able to enjoy my time up front."

"Toastmasters Club is like a personality carving school.  When I entered this club I had not the slightest idea s where I am heading to. Matter of fact, a friend has asked me to join this "joint" to improve my computer skills.  I do not know where the tracks switched and I found myself with Desert Voices Club.  It instills self-confidence into the participants for a bold public speaking and interaction.  In this club everybody is invited to deliver a 2-minute speech and that is what proves to be the first step towards putting you on a journey of becoming a confident speaker, no matter who the audience will be.  Thanks to Toastmasters Club.  Congratulations and keep it up!"

"3 years back I was literally inside my shell...  Certainly, there was a time in my life when I was full of confidence.  Those were the days when I could talk to any tom, Dick and Harry without hesitations at all.  I think I started losing my self-confidence with talking to people when I got married and stopped working completely to devote my time to family.  Joining Toastmasters International has changed everything and believing in myself too has helped me in overcoming my lack of self-esteem.  Now, I can proudly say my SELF-CONFIDENCE is in full force."

"Knowledge is power when you can express it.  If you cannot, then it is powerless at all.  This is my experience with Desert Voices Toastmasters Club. I used to be the "silent girl" in one chair, trying to feel the water surrounding me.  I realized that it is high time to take a plunge and remove my bashfulness.  After my ice breaker, I got more confidence that I can ever imagine and got addicted to speaking in front of the crowd.  I'm not the shy type anymore.  Desert Voices provided me a home where I feel accepted and motivated to face simple and complicated challenges in life.  If I have ideas and opinions that might help make an endeavor better, I no longer stay quiet but I vent it out.  It's just that opinions are seen in different angles.  I'm proud to be part of Desert Voices Toastmasters Club!"
